Tamsui Historical Museum was established by New Taipei City Government (former Taipei County) in 2005.

This institution administrates the renovation and preservation of numerous historic sites in Tamsui, while also specializing in the education and training of individuals devoted to this field.

The mission of Tamsui Historical Museum is to promote the public awareness of historic sites. Educational materials and resources to stimulate tourists' interests are provided as well, so visitors can discover a connection with the land. The administrative office is located at the International Artist Village near Taiwan Golf Club, and we manage 27 historic sites and 6 historic buildings all within Tamsui.
