Tamsui is the birthplace of Taiwanese golf, with around 80% of famous Taiwanese golfers coming from the Taiwan Golf & Country Club in Tamsui. The New Taipei City Tamsui Historical Museum thus established the Taiwanese Golf History Museum, where the first golf club of Taiwan was located (1919). The exhibition is divided into three themes in History, The Past and the Future and International Fame. The purpose is to introduce the audience to the founding period and development of Taiwan golf as well as the outstanding performances and trophies won by the golfers.
